I wouldn't recommend starting out on a fretless or even spending cash on one until you're firmly rooted in the instrument.

Outside of that, do you want it?

Depends on your budget and what you want to use it for. It's nice but if you're just starting out I wouldn't spend more than about £130 or so. Try looking into a used squier or something like that if you're just starting out. Nice basses and they're good money for what they are.

If you like it, yeah. Acoustic basses are pretty useless though.
