i dont really like pickgaurds on LPs but some look better with one.

It depends, on a LP Standard it looks better without, but I would keep it on for a LP Custom, I voted without.

They look wrong without them unless it's an unusual custom finish or a particularly nice piece of top wood, in which case without can be passable though with a pickguard will still look better.

Mine came with a separate pick guard. I'm still not sure if I want to drill holes in my LP in order to put it on.
I can't recall a single time I've hit the top of the guitar with my pick so I don't really see the point of putting it on.

LPs dont look wrong without a pickguard. If someone were to install one onto an Eclipse, i'd be first in line to rip it off.
