mmmm... get a GOOD distortion/overdrive pedal and start to mess around with the settings... because to be very honest getting mesa boggie triple-recto crunch out of a valvetronix wont happen... (although ive seen some veeery impressive crunch coming out of roland cubes)

so do your best with what you have, or start saving and keep practicing!! great tone comes mostly from your hands!

He actually does mention the name of the Mesa head and the speakers though, and the pickups appear to be DiMarzio's, I'm guessing Evos or Super Distortions.
