Really Great bass! Finish and quality is on par with the mexican bass. Only problem is the stock strings and the bridge. I put in my old fender bridge in her, a set of GHS B52's and a little truss rod action.

Now the only problem once again is the strings lol!

Good lookin' there, baby! Now all you need is a BAII and DiMarzios.
I don't know what I'm doing, but I still do it anyway...

Just for the lulz.

You know the stock strings are D'Addarrios right? I guess they're a tad bright for most people's tastes..

Anyway, that's a nice looking bass. I'm a sucker for ash.
Nope, no sig here.

I know the stcok strings were d'addarrios but man they were closer to guitar strings than bass strings lol! The ball ends didnt even fit my fender bridge.

Now the B52's I BLINDLY bought are almost as bright, so I am pretty frustrated with my string purchase.

I have a few Evile covers wit hthis bass in my computer but thats about it lol.

hmm.

I'm not a fan of SX, but the neck isn't particularly ugly.

the finish is really glossy though, does it get sticky when you start sweating?

I wouldn't call what we have here on the Bass Forum a mentality. It's more like the sharing part of an AA meeting.

Mine doesn't....I'd assume they would use the same type on his. His is a different tint, though...you never know.

Also, agreed about the neck...binding and blocks is always a winner with me.

edit: I just realized, it's still got the old headstock. I wonder why they don't have the new ones up yet...
Nope, no sig here.

I think the only thing I'd change is the bridge.

^ yeah, that one looks a bit odd compared to the rest of it. I'm thinking a Hipshot-type bridge would go well with it.

I don't mean to hijack this but, I was looking at the SX site and I saw this:

So gorgeous. I might just buy it.

Yeah, I'd want it a lot more if I didn't already have a sunburst Jazz. But I do want a fretless.

SX are pretty nice.

My guitarists brother got one for christmas, he chose it out, thought it was pretty good,

Then he got me to have a look.

I was quite surprised, it played really well. Probably change up the pickups, and maybe the bridge.

other then that, good build quality... wasn't like, top of the line boutique, but quite a good intermediate bass. and would sound like a better one with some quality pickups.

but I have played some SX Basses that feel just awful... kind of like someone just snapped off a branch and threw frets on it.

Hope you got a good one. looks pretty good from the pictures.
