i need help searching..

or like.. some cool solos. i need more upper neck work..
something with feeling too.. not mindless shredding..

i would say between the buried and me or any of luke hoskins ( protest the hero ) stuff would probably be what your looking for

Definetly not shredding, and I think it really is quite an technical challenge to articulate like him.

Learn "Cathedral" by Eddie Van Halen. You'll need a delay. Very do-able. The challenge is to get it sounding smooth. That would make for a good lesson.

Learn Crushing Day by Satriani.

The main melody is awesome, the solo is challenging but brilliant and an excellent example of thematic development.

It's exactly what you're looking for if you want "inspiration"

never been able to master actual sweeping itself though,
