I understand ISP makes a G string decimator for putting in the effects loop, but in the manual, it says the regular Decimator can go in the loop as well. Why do they make a g string if you can supposedly stick the base model in the loop anyway?

The G String goes in the loop and infront of the amp. The regular is a either or unit...

What do you mean either or?

THe regular decimator can either go infront of your amp or in the FX loop, the Gstring has two send loops so you can put it in front and in the FX loop at the same time, follow?

EITHER in the loop OR in front of the amp. The G-string is for BOTH AT ONCE.

G string does both in front and in the loop at the same time, the reg can only do one or the other
