What's a good swap for the stock speaker? I dabble a bit more with high gain type stuff, but not really metal, if that makes sense. More like Van Halen, Slash, and Paul Gilbert type stuff. So really, it doesn't need to be realll high gain, I want some crunch with it too. Iv'e heard the veteran 30 was great with the Vk112, but I want more opinions.
I'm playing on a HSS strat, also.
If it helps, I've already got a really good distortion pedal.

Thanks in advance.

I recommend the WGS Veteran 30.
I don't have one, but my friend does and they are great. Priced low too.

I have the Vet 30, and it is simply fantastic. It really opens the amp up.

i put a texas heat in mine. i love it. since you say you have a good distortion pedal already, it could handle that kind of distortion no problem. it is an american-voiced speaker, by the way.
