I was wondering what a good set of pickups to get are. I have an LTD F-50 all original parts. I was told I could get better ones than the ones on there so should i switch up?

EDIT: Also It sounds kinda muddy when on an amp. how do I adjust it and will getting new pickups change this?

Uhm we need a few things to answer this question.

-What style of music do you play
-What amp are you using
-What tone do you want
-What is your pickup preference
-What is your budget

Honestly, with that amp,new pups wont make much of a difference.I'd look into the long term solution of replacing the amp before thinking of a pup swap. The amp comprises a majority of your tone, and a modeling amp has a habit of taking a lot of a guitars individual tonal characteristics and masking them with the digital models,so most guitars sound the same and something like new pups wont make the big difference you're expecting. You'd be spending a good deal of money for a nominal tonal change.

I'm going to sound like an elitist tube snob like usual, but a naturally high gain tube amp would be a good choice.Save up your money since you can get some nice ones like the 5150 or the new 6505+ combo that Peavey will be releasing soon for about 600 USD.
