I want to buy a new amp and im really interested in the Vypyr. Im just wondering if theres a big difference between the 60 watt tube amp or the 75 watt (no tube). I know tube amp are better but is it worth paying 200$ more?

That's hard to say because only a few people have played the 60w tube version. Not sure if it is worth the extra $200. Gregs1020 played one recently. You may also want to check The Only Vypyr Thread and try them out for yourself if you can.

The 75 has very tube like response IMO. Better than a VK112 (again, IMO). Gregs said the tone was pretty damned good.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
