So I just bought the line 6 toneport ux2 and it came with a recording program called ableton and a thing called gearbox, and its really confusing, so one friends told me to use audacity to get a good recording (check this link to here there recorded song on it... http://www.myspace.com/arcatherion or another band using it.....http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=425440246 ) so i try audacity with it and my guitar pro 5 drums sound fine then i put my guitar in and the distortion quality sucks..why is that?

Tinker with the gearbox models for a half-decent distortion sound.
I'd highly advise using ableton to record instead of audacity, it's a very good piece of software.
