I don't trust Ibanez anymore, after seeing the new models.

Freaking baby blue with bright yellow pickups?! What the hell!

fender or gibson is a given. i will buy anything they make without testing it because ive played enough of their models to know there good

None whatsoever. Seemingly pointless topic is seemingly pointless.

Also, including Squier and Epiphone respectively with Fender and Gibson is just plain asinine.

how so.

Pretty much a Suhr, Tom Anderson and the like where you know you're getting a badass guitar no matter what. I can't believe the number of Gibsons that I play that are just terrible. I played several dozen Les Pauls and SGs before I bought mine. Gibson's quality control is one of the worst in the business. I've played 5k Custom Shops where the soldering job is so bad the pickups cut in and out.

I suppose it's fine with Gibson/Epiphone as their about as hit-and-miss to me, but frankly the only Squiers I've ever played that come close to even a MIM Fender is a Vintage Vibe, and even then the MIM's were generally better IMO. MIM Fender's on the other hand, to my hand an ear, with a gem, can outclass a MIA. Granted msot aren't like that, but most Squiers are awful in my experience, while I've played very few Fender's I didn't like, so the grouping of them with Squier seems asinine to me.

Honestly, none. Or at least none of those listed.

I would probably only trust a custom builder who was building a guitar with specs that I already knew that I loved.
#24
I bought my first electric without even trying it out. And it was a knock off.

And I LOVE it. Totally.

If it wasn't for the 10 day trial period, I would have not have bought a Carvin. As soon as I got it I was blown away of course...

Probably none, but I'd pick Fender if I had to pick any, since I've pretty much (Well, I have) played Fender from the beginning. Though, I heard quality has really dropped, and if its anything worse than my CBS Strat, then god forbid...

P.S. What is this Kona? I must find out, the name reminds me of a certain blue haired girl..

LOL @ Gibson.

People are seriously biased or just lucky.

I played at least 3 Gibsons with flaws.

1 had a g string that went constant out of tune after 2 step bends (tuner change would fix this, but c'mon 2000+ dollar guitar)

1 Gibson, which had a flaw in the paint. Well not really a flaw, but an "aesthetic minority" (again 2000+ dollar guitar's

And 1 Gibson just didn't sound like a "the Gibson sound". Maybe flaw in the pups or electronics I dunno.

Don't come with ur unlucky, these guitars are 2000 +/- bucks, if I can spot the flaws, then surely the guys who make them should spot them.

Good Gibson is good guitar, but a Gibson is not always good.

PRS (high end models custom 22's and 24's) never flawed on anything. If you watch their factory video, you know why.

Fender
; quite reliable, don't have much info

Ibanez good quality/price, that's for sure. However, they are not always 100% flawless. (I own 1)

Jackson
, overal; reliable, but haven't tested enough out to be certain. (I own 1 of these also)

Schechter
; not enough info.

Epiphones
; Not reliable, I played a few with fret buzz, bad electronics (pup switch stutter in sound), Bad-tuner (a lot of them go out of tune often, and they don't even have whammy bar lool.)
Mind this, the Epiphones Elite are much better^^ that goes for the low end epiphones.

Squier, I guess reliabe, but they aren't very high quality, so ye you dont' expect alot of these.

BC rich
; fret buzz on a few.

I used to hang out in the local guitar shop 3 times a week playing every guitar there was, but this still isn't 100% accurate, since there are `1000000000's of guitars.

Anyways if someone says you go live in 2 minutes and you need to pick a guitar. Pick an PRS it will never fail. Both in sonic options, playability and reliability it's overall the most "trustworthy"

Out of the ones I've tried personally, PRS, Suhr and ESP are the only ones I'd trust buying without even trying, for obvious reasons.
- Fender American Standard Ash Telecaster w/ DiMarzio Chopper T & Twang King
- Alhambra 5P
- Laney Lionheart L5T-112
- Line 6 POD XT

- Dunlop Cry Baby

Prolly only the Gibbo,

When I was buying my RR3, all the ones I tested in various shops played ****ing brilliantly. They just didn't have the finish I wanted. =[
