I need help on getting a good rythm guitar. I have an epiphone g-400 custom but it doesnt really have the rhythm tones i like. I was thinking about epiphone les paul custom or goth explorer. Ive also heard strats are good rythm guitars. I play mostly metal and hard rock. I prefer hetfieldish tones. Any help would be great. Thanks

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.

First, there's a big price difference between the Goth Explorer and LP Custom, and the tone difference wouldn't be that great between your G-400. We need a budget. Also, Hetfield uses Active EMG pickups. What amp do you have?
