In the studio version it almost seems like there's none until the "I, hear the sound of a" then back to the normal register "gentle word"

and then in the next verse

"Close my eyes...she's" regular register

"Somehow closer" falsetto

"now" back to regular register

i just can't hear it at all on the studio version, it's making me think it's all in his real register and there's no falsetto going on in the studio version besides the really high parts "I" first verse and "When" second verse

i can hear it i think in this live version (video) a bit better

Can anyone help me out here...it's just bugging me trying to figure it out.

mainly wondering about the first verse in the studio version though "I, I love the colorful clothes she wears" falsetto or no falsetto? it's driving me crazy!

Great song. Great band! It sounds as though it's going in and out falsetto vocals

So i basically have no idea! There should be a Beach Boys thread if there isn't already!!!

I don't think it is falsetto, actually. Carl Wilson just has a very soft voice, when he wants to.
