this one part of this song goes like:

---------------------------------
---------------------------------
--9----------9------------------
------5----------5------11-----
----------7----------7-------7--
----------------------------------

theres alot more but you get the idea. the song is really fast so how would pick this? I mean like all downstrokes?

What song is it?

Could be rakes though I doubt it. I would pick a simple arpeggio like that however felt comfortable and practice til I got faster.

Depends on the tempo but as long as it isnt stupid should just alt pick it

all upstrokes. it's called sweep picking

When you break a bass string, that snapping sound is the sound of six dollars going down the crapper.

I would either do it all up strokes or alternate.

Totally agree, unless the tempo is way fast, then I might consider tapping the lick (14-5-2 14-5-2 16-2 on the D-string).

tempo permitting, one or the other should work better. However the economy picking pattern is not set in stone, someone may prefer the exact opposite to what i suggested.
