So, I went and bought an EC-1000 but can't play it because I don't have an amp. I play mostly metal, and read about some recommendations here, namely 5150 and valvekings. Where can I find such (or others comparable) in Toronto? budget is like.. 400 bucks, maybe more if it's worth it, or if it's not enough for anything lol.

Thanks!

L&M isn't a Peavey dealer, but they carry Mesa, Marshall, Orange & Soldano.

Look for a Gordon Price/Mother's Music in your area.

For used amps check the Toronto Craigslist online as well as Kijiji.ca
MARSHALL JVM 210H
PEAVEY JSX
KRANK 412
MESA 412
FENDER STRATS
DIMARZIO

I just looked it up and although I can afford it, the 5150 weigh too much to go on a plane... What else should I look at for metal which is not too heavy/huge? Thanks for the comments so far

Not entirely sure about this, but there's a store called the 12th Fret or something in Toronto.

I think one of my friend's cousin's owns it. I do not know much about it, but I went on their website and it seemed pretty intriguing.

Might be worth a look.
