We've got a gig comming up on 6/2, and we still haven't decided in which order we'll play our songs. Please let us hear what you think.
Our basic-idea would be this:

- Song 2
- Under the bridge
- Wonderwall
- Love me a little (you might not know it. danish rock. great song though. tjeck it out)
- Wonderful tonight

We're expecting a kind of older crowd, so that's why we've chose some pretty silent songs so grandma' won't leave in anger.

I'd go with this:
- Wonderwall
- Song 2
- Love me a little (you might not know it. danish rock. great song though. tjeck it out)
- Wonderful tonight
- Under the bridge

'Wonderwall' will get people listening, 'Song 2' will keep things interesting and 'Under The Bridge' I know from personal experience is a great way to end a show.

when you say 'our songs', you mean theirs, but i agree with him ^

why would you open with song 2? if you play that, it has to be the last thing you play. but you say youve got some granny-boppers that you dont wanna piss off... so why would you choose to play it at all?

i would do it:

Wonderwall
Love me a little
Under the bridge
Wonderful tonight
Song 2

Because we want an up-tempo song to get it kicked off right.
then hopefully the granny's would go 'jesus! some horrible music the young people listen to today' and then we would make things up with a more quiet song.

My experience is, that what you get remembered for, is your start and your end.
Everything in between does count, ofcouse, but if you get your thang going and kick it off right people have a possitive memory of the gig.

Love Me A Litte (don't know it but hey...)
Wonderwall
Wonderful Tonight
Song 2 (get the audiense involved with the 'whoo-hoo's'
Under the Bridge

Here's why; "Song 2" picks it up after the two/three ballads and gets the crowd all amped up for your big ender which is the most popular song on the list.

I like the idea of Song 2 being the first however if not then play it like this

Wonderwall
Wonderful Tonight
Love me a little (pin this song inbetween the better known songs cause chances are if we dont know they wont either
Song 2
Under th bridge

btw musefan you have a badass top 5 bands but Pear Jam should be at number one my friend

Pear Jam? Is that some fruity alternative to the 90's grunge band? Or is it just a yummy-sounding spread that goes on toast?

OK Computer > Ten
The Bends > V.S.
Thom Yorke > Eddie Veder
Johnny Greenwood > Mike McCready

Pearl Jam is excellent but Radiohead just beats them, not to mention that Radiohead's been making great albums consistently since "The Bends" while Pearl Jam lost it for a while.

Sorry for the drift.
