I had a girlfriend. Her name was jordon. She dumped me. I was sad got over it, then we became good friends.

She goes out with my friend (former drummer) and me being bitter I don't tell her that my drummer is an absolute tool. A month goes by and she is really digging him. Then I get a call from my drummer telling me how he made out with this other chick at the moives and me not wanting to break "man code" is like "okay, i'm not going to tell her but I'm going to avoid her so that way it won't slip out." Another week goes by and i ask my drummer "Whatcha going to do with the jordon situation?". "Make her fall for me and then f*** her and leave."

So me trying to be a good person i finally tell jordon everything and I feel good about it but I lost a fairly close friend and a great musician to collaborate with.

Anyway do you think i should have told or just kept myself out of there business.

And have you ever broke bro code?

(high school romances :P)

When it comes to women, the answer is either yes or no. Yes, you'd **** them or no you wouldn't. Relationships are a waste of time and money; you lost a friend with his head on straight.
Edit: Relationships are especially pointless in high school.

There's no such thing as "bro code", if your friend is being a dick he's being a dick. You probably should have just kept it to yourself though. The thing is if you tell her something like that she is most likely not going to believe you. Maybe you should have told her when he first cheated, but telling her what he said about ****ing her and leaving her was not a good idea. She won't believe it and she'll think your jealous.

I thought that before I told her. Then after i told she broke up with him the next day and thanked me for telling her.

and yeah bro code is kind of gay but i'm metro and there is nothing wrong with that.

This is one of those situations that you'd call a clusterf***

There's really no wrong or right thing, but I would only like to add that if this kid was your friend, even just fairly, shouldn't you have been able to talk to him about it? I mean, if he was your friend I think he'd understand that this is your ex, and even though you two are over, you still have respect for her.

Bro code and ass hole code are very different things. Oh, and now that the girl trusts you, superman that hoe.

EDIT: I consider ratting on cheating outside of bro code, but not "hit it and quit it".

It's still stupid, if you care about a girl enough and she's going to be hurt you should definitely tell her. I just can't stand guys treating girls like that though.

My considerate answer:
Consider the girl's feelings. Your 'bro' was being a total dick, and he's going to hurt another one of your friend's feelings. So in this case, it's friend vs. friend, so it goes down to the general rule of who's in the right and who's in the wrong. 'Jordon' was in the right for going for romance, since there's no moral 'law' that says that you can't fall in love. However, this 'bro' of yours is obviously in the wrong for cheating and being downright deceitful.

Short, inconsiderate answer:
Good, break the bro code, so he can't get the poontang. That way, you get points with the chick, who might give YOU the poontang later in return. Poontang > Friends.

Of course, I like my considerate answer slightly better, since it's not so vulgar. XD

tell her
if your "friend" is a tool as you say, why are you friends with him?

There's no such thing as bro code. It's some bullshit made up by insecure assholes who don't get laid enough and have too much testosterone pumping through their veins. You did the morally correct thing. That's all that matters.
I play by my own rules. And I have one rule; There are no rules... but if there are, they're there to be broken. Even this one.

The only rule concerning ex's is that your supposed to ask before you do anything.

Which he did. So he's good.

The rules however say nothing about talking to your former ex. So your good.

Bro code...ridiculous. Just surround yourself with good people and do what you know is right. Relationships/friends are simple; don't know why people keep insisting on making them complicated.
