^ you're either born with perfect pitch or you're not.
It could improve your musical ear, but in NO WAY will it give you a perfect ear for music.
Anyone who thinks that music these days is dead doesn't listen to enough music.

you're not born with perfect pitch, you develop it in early childhood, whether you can learn it past that point is hotly debated.

as for the DVD set mentioned by the TS, it may help to a degree, I don't know if it would be worth $150 though considering all of the free stuff available online.

Can that really help me become a better guitar player? Also why do I have to order all 12 DVD's for $150, why can't I just order 1 or 2?

Were you born an idiot or was it a choice?

If you're in the market, I've got some extra magic jumping beans I could sell ya at a great price...
