I was wondering if there were any free programs that are similar to Guitar Pro. Basically, I just need something that is free and your able to put your own music onto it and take the guitar out the song, so that I can play to it.

Anyone know of any?

I think Powertab is the generally accepted one, and it's free. There's lots of powertab tabs on UG.

Yes, Tux Guitar can read Power Tab AND Guitar Pro files, AND it is also free! Google it.

Personally I think GuitarPro is just a bit more user friendly in layout and has clearer notation and generally looks nicer (I have a torrented version) but tuxguitar is exactly the same in function.
