Hey guys, I got a Guitar competition at school coming up. Time limit is 5-6 minutes, I have over a month to learn the song but I'm having trouble picking...I've been playing for 5 years and I can play a lot of techincal stuff (Last year I got second place out of 12 people, I did "In the Fire by Roadrunner United.) but I was also wanting to showcase ability to play in different time signatures/tempos etc, the school music teachers love this for some reason.

So if a song has a clean section, insane solos, lots of jerky time signature changing and tempo changing and is complex, (also under the time limit) I would love for someone to recommend it to me.

Metal would be preferable

Thanks, PLOP

Put it this way, last year some guy played Blackened on the Bass and won JUST because of the tempo jerkiness, dynamics and time signature changes

I would recommend Death Rides a Horse by Russian Circles. It's not too crazy on the time signatures, but it's really cool, has a clean section, and is mainly tapping. It's not terribly difficult to learn either, once you master 6 finger tapping.

Impress them with something they never even thought could happen on guitar by doing some Tom Morello or Omar Rodriguez-Lopez type stuff.
