I was playing Battlefield 2 about 20 minutes ago when i noticed i got really high ping so i decided to restart my computer and when i restarted it none of my icons or my taskbar showed up. When i go to processes it doesnt show explorer.exe. I tried running it through new task in C\Windows\explorer.exe and it says i do not have permission to run that application. I only have one username and thats the administrator. Im running a virus scan right now with SuperAntiSpyware. So far its found: 98 AdWare.trackingcookies, 3 AdWare.WSNpoem and 1 Trojan.SVCHOST/FAKE.

Do i need to reboot my computer?

um. you're kinda ****ed unless you can shred the virus, because it won't let it be deleted due to the fact that the file is in use.

You need to get rid of all that spyware and trojans, THEN reboot.

You need to shut off system restore, reboot, and then run your virus and spyware software in safe mode.
Someones knowledge of guitar companies spelling determines what amps you can own. Really smart people can own things like Framus because they sound like they might be spelled with a "y" but they aren't.

The tracking cookies always turn up on SASpyware. That trojan looks ominous though...download less porn and warez

No, seriously, if you have some kind of detect and repair program run that, if not you'll probably have to *clean up*

Perhaps when you startup the computer or whatever, you press F8 and you get the black and white screen. Choose "Last known working settings".
