I have a lot of friends that are starting to play guitar and I want to tell them good tips on starting. Like, how is the best way to start to build up calises and stuffs like that.

If you don't bleed at some point you aren't doing it right.

Seriously though, when I started, my dad just showed by the D, A, G, F, E and C chords and beat me until I could play them in progression without pausing to move my fingers.

Teach them some chords and tell them to go home and practice them. You can teach all you want but if they dont practice they'll never improve
