I know my way around the ol' guitar and keyboard and I have some computer skills, but I am a complete n00b when it comes to effects and such, so I need some help

I have seen people use a microphone combined with a keyboard to record some cool vocal lines (see Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger by Daft Punk) , but I have absolutely NO idea how they do it. Does anyone know what software they use, what gear they use, or anything else that might be able to help me out a bit?

My gear includes a MIDI-enabled keyboard, a standard microphone, an Mbox Mini 2, and Pro-Tools software. Is that stuff enough, or will I need some other things?

Any help is appreciated

I believe Daft Punk uses either a Talk Box or a Vocoder for their songs.

Hm, a vocoder... this interests me. I shall Wiki it!

Any recommendations as to what Vocoder is best? (or is free )
