Tube questions for Rivera R100-212

So they're starting to become microphobic after like 8 years and I've decided to change them. I'm new at this, but what's a good set to use?

I need 5 preamp and 4 power tubes. I was thinking of getting JJs for both preamps and power tubes but any good combination for a melodic like sound like Journey and Boston? Are even JJs on both set of tubes allowed?

Also, replacing them seems easy, but it seems I need to bias it first to be safe. Probably should let a tech do it right?

Any questions, info or videos are and will be appreciated. I'm a quick learner so any link is fine, but before ending this post, thanks for reading guys.

Microphobic tubes don't exist.. you're thinking of microphonic. As for sound, generally JJs are pretty dark, whereas Tung-Sols are brighter. Did you check the Ultimate Tube thread at the top of the forum?

As for biasing if you're uncomfortable doing it, let a tech do it.
