ok, i'm in a bit of an annoying situation.

currently, i use a boss dd7 for my delay. as far as features go, i love it, but the hiss is produces does my head in!

so i would like some suggestions. does anyone know of:

a. a way to fix the hiss problem (some kind of mod?)
b. an alternative pedal

i was gonna get a line 6 dl4, but then i found out it doesn't have dotted 8th, which killed it for me.

as far as alternative pedals go, dotted 8th is a must (i know you can get it on a dl4, but it's hassle to tap in) and tap tempo is also needed.

budget isn't an issue really, i'm prepared to look at anything.

was considering a dd5 because i've heard that doesn't have the hiss, but i've also heard the tone sucks...

any help much appreciated

[edit: i run everything through the front of my tiny terror as it hasn't got an fx loop. would running the delay through a loop reduce any noise?]

Try it with a different power supply, or a battery.

thanks for that suggestion. looks nice, like the idea of the audio tap trmpo. just checking it out a bit more now, anyone had any experience with this?

i have a dd7 and i play at loud volume and i do NOT get any hiss.. its probably your power supply... i recommend a 1 spot.. i use mine for all 5 of my pedals.. no hiss at all.

Yeah I don't get any hiss at all with my DD-7.
I'll bet you anything it has to do with the power supply,
or the sockets in your walls.
If not, you've probably got a dud.
