I've been using my BOSS Metal Zone for around a month now and i'm totally satisfied.
But with my amp (MG30FX) i can't access strong enough sounds like BFMV, A7X (syn, even though he uses alot of different effects) and trivium. I want a powerful pedal which can give me the sounds of those bands with the amp im using. Can you guys recomend one for me?

and i've been thinking of buying the POD 2.0, good idea?

It's never gonna happen with that amp i'm afraid.

Why not?

Can you give me an example of an amp which it could?

Maybe a Vox AD30VT or a Roland Cube?

and also there's a price limit of £150

So you're not satisfied?

I blame the pedal, it has very thin sounding distortion.
The overdrive channel on your amp sounds nearly as bad, but in the opposite way.

Vox AD30VTs are nice amps, there is a new version called the VT30 I think which might be better. If you get one of them DON'T use a distortion pedal with it.
A metal band?

I'm happy with the pedal but not with the amp. I can get a nice sound but i can get MUCH better from another amp.

shouldn't that tell you that what you need is a new amp, not a new pedal?
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.

Im pretty sure A new $200 amp will sound 500x better then the worse amp with every pedal in the world connected.

Yes, it should.
I've 90% decided on getting the Vypyr 15. Unless someone can tell me some good reasons on not to get it then i'll buy it because there's too many mixed views.

If you can get the Vypyr 30, get it. Otherwise get the 15.

I recommend getting Line 6 Pod xt Live used for around 250 bucks! I love mine

Definitely go for a Vypyr 30. You get a Blue Marvel speaker and a stompbox knob which the Vypyr 15 doesn't have.
