Simple question. Im asking because someone said getting diff gauge strings will probably require me to adjust the action on my guitar.

I recently got http://www.guitarcenter.com/D-Addario-EJ21-XL-Nickel-Jazz-Light-Electric-Guitar-Strings-100093090-i1122017.gc so that i can tune to C, before i used like 11s and 10s adn when i tuned to C and played there was a lot of rattling.

It's how high the strings are off the fretboard.

action's the height of your strings above your fretboard/frets, more or less...
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

simply put: the height of the strings along the fretboard - if its too low, you'll get Fret Buzz (low action is not the lone causer of that though), if its too high, you might have trouble fretting them
