I'm just wondering out of like easy or hard tabs, how long does it take you lot to learn a tab? Like if you practised it for like a hour a day.

Usually, that hour is long enough. Generally, I don't use tab's anymore because I'm working on other skills, but you should be able to pick up a full song from tab in an hour. Unless, of course, you're attempting to learn an epic 15 minute shred fest song that's way beyond your capabilities...then it might take two hours :-D

Ah right, I've just always wondered since I don't know anyone else who plays guitar around here haha

well it all depends how much I've listened to the song before. If it's a lot then the tab takes aropund half an hour to fully get embedded in my brain.

Nowadays I tend to just find out what tuning the song is in from a tab and then try and figure it out by ear.

It's pretty much a nonsense question, but I won't give you a BS answer:

It you are going to PROPERLY learn a song of any complexity via the tab and the ACCURATE rhythm notation, your time will be measured in weeks and months, not hours. If you think you can get it done in an hour or two, you're probably missing a lot of the value learning the song has to offer.
