Actually...yes and no.

Yes in that you have the strength and fluidity already in your right or plucking hand. Yes, as in the theory that you have to acquire to play classical is a plus.

No as in that your hand positions are different for fingerstyle in bass than they are in playing classical guitar. And if you've grown out your fingernails, that's going to be a bit of a problem playing bass.

If you use fingers in your classical, like anarkee said, it will be a big issue for playing bass.

Get ready to grow heavy callouses, you'll need some really hard skin to get a bright sound on the classic because you aren't going to get to keep those fingernails.

Anarkee really nailed it--helps with theory and reach, no help with technique.
