Hey Bassforum! I need your help. I was wondering if anyone had personal experience with Darkstar pickups, I felt like ordering two for my jazzbass, but the thought was based on purely aesthetic purposes, I cant justify buying a set of 400 dollar pickups just for a boob job on my bass. So thoughts like is there much routing? Is the sound versatile enough to play anything? Most of all are they worth the price? Generally your thoughts on them. Thank you.
Seriously, f*ck off with the R.I.P Dimebag bullsh*t, you dont see the bass forums going R.I.P Jaco everytime some one mentions him!

...In other words, I'm taking a giant dump on fender owners who use pods.

well that's just really helpful. you must leave quickly, your power of useful comments is needed elsewhere.

anyway i like darkstart pickups, i tried an old hollow body bass with them in and it sounded very full, there wasn't really much character in terms of lots of top end or anything, they just sounded full and pleasing to the ear, but still managed to sound airy probably because of the hollow body of the bass

I thought darkstar was a skateboarding company.

Don't tell me they are making pickups now, are they?
