I was thinking realistically it will be Bon Jovi. I also heared rumors about the Eagles.

I would hope for the Who or Zeppelin though, but without Bonzo obviously

Hopefully the Eagles. It can't be Zeppelin, because if they play, it means they found a replacement for Plant I can't see LZ bastardized like that.

I dont think Metallica would ever happen realistically, they are just too heavy for the general population honestly.

I never thought of Aerosmith, thats a possibility.

No Who or Zep because dumb rednecks and some gangster kids with racial identity issues would think, "Who are these fags? These guys are lame! Play some Kenny Chesney/Lil' Wayne!" and, plus, the halftime show is usually for washed-up bands who have lost all of their talent and have no reason to still be touring...

Oh, wait...

I love both The Who and Led Zeppelin, by the way.

The Eagles should get into the superbowl and halftime show could be The Eagles.

I would love to see Foo Fighters there!

whatever overrated, bloated generic classic rock band ends up doing it...meh.I would hate for Townshend and Daltrey or any other decent British or Canadian act to stoop to this. It would seem right up the Eagles' alley, however.

You guys are being far too hopeful. The Eagles have been rumoured for years. Zep would NEVER play the Super Bowl.

any band as long as they are not over the hill burnouts..like most bands mentioned. a credible band who is popular with all would be ACDC

they are over the hill but all their **** sounds the same anyway.
#30
I think the bands they choose are more for 30 year-olds who grew up listening to the stuff.

Hopefully something like The Offspring or Metallica a band that has been around for a while...

but seeing as how they like to have classic rock bands who singers age exceeds 60 years old...they will run with something like the Eagles or some sh*t like that.

If I had to bed Id say The Eagles.

If I had to wish Id say The Who.

Only person from Boston's original line up = Tom Scholz. And Brad Delp killed himself, him and scholz were the two that made Boston the band they were. The new singer is alright, but yeah, it wouldn't be true Boston.

Also they're first album was released in 1976, so they're not an 80's band (and were far more popular in the 70s too.)

Aerosmith already played and the same band never plays twice. The did Walk this way with Britney Spears and N'Sync if I remember correctly. This was when MTV still did it of course.
