Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but too late now!

Alright, so my cousin has left me with his RG for a couple years, and I've decided to upgrade the pickups (it's still got the stock ones, V7 and a V8 I think). Anyways, it's an RGR420EX and it's basswood. I was looking into a Dimarzio Dactivator in the bridge, and PAF Pro in the neck. But, does anyone have any suggestions? Like, the pickups YOU would put in this guitar to get a metal sound (keyword, metal..anywhere from death to power). I'd really not like to put in Evos as I've already got them in my S, and I wanted to try something new.

Help is nice. I'd like some please.

Also, I play through an Ibanez Toneblaster (bad idea).
I'm still new.

i'd say those are good choices for what you're trying to accomplish.
i used to be a mod, then i took an arrow in the knee.

throw in some EMG's... the only problem with those is that they don't put out very good cleans...

if you are gonna play cleans more often, then i would suggest some Semour Duncans

A new amp would get you a better sound then new pups, save up for a tube amp, it will make a bigger difference to your sound man. But if you insist on new pups, for metal, I'd say a Dimarzio X2N for a the bridge and the paf is a good for the neck.
