I have a jackson soloist in drop C with a bugera 333XL and Ive noticed that when I hit a bassy note on overdrive I get this crackle where the sustain should be. I have no idea what this is but its very annoying. Does anyone know what this could be or how to fix it?

if it's electrical (not a mechanical action problem)

then swap out your guitar cable, try a different guitar thru the amp.

try to wiggle the cable around the jack a bit.
eliminate that the guitar might be the problem.

if you can determine that it is the amp.

and it's electrical then i can't help, but if it's mechanical, touch screws on the frame of the amp. see if one is loose and rattling.
(please dont poke in the amp, or touch hot tubes)

if it's the speaker, it would sound like a fart / buzz less of a crackle.

It's a Bugera...chances are it's an electrical problem. Try the above then contact customer service.
I'm putting my GAS on hold
for a couple months in order to pimp my ride.

Don't judge me.

With a Bugera I would honestly not be surprised if there are loose components or bad caps.

I had a similar experience with my JSX. It's like a crackling static sound right after you palm mute right?

I did all these things and the sound dissapeared:
-changed the power tubes
-plugged my amp into a different outlet than my pedal power.
-moved my amp to a different part of the room.
