i have a really good acoustic guitar i love to play day in and day out. but recently i got thinking, would it be ok to take apart my electric i barely use and put the electronics inside my acoustic? i know most people would just buy an acoustic electric, but i dont have enough saved up to get one. this is just an idea, and i want to see what you think, thanks.

you should just sell both of your guitars to buy a nice acoustic electric.

and no, you can't just put the electronics in an acoustic

as i said before, i dont have enough saved up, but selling both to get a nice one would be an idea i shall consider. and me being an outcast, i didnt even know they made acoustic pickups! i should really get out more

No.

it would sound like willies, look like willies, and taste like willies.

tastes? lol... and how would you know what the willies tastes like?

i've seen a couple pictures of people doing it. BUT, it's not the right kind of pickup for an acoustic. i wouldn't do it...

If you like to play your acoustic, day in day out and love it;

Don't sell it.

Wait until you have saved up enough for the acoustic pre-amp.

If you sell it, you will likely regret it everyday, day in, day out.
