Hi everyone,
Jjust a quick, stupid question ...

Is it possible to put Gibson-like humbucker covers on the humbucker of a strat or a tele to hide the open coils for instance ?

Thanks

I'm not sure because I heard that if you take the covers off a Gibson humbucker, you can't put it back on.

Seems weird... the operation should be reversible I guess...

Any other testimonials ?

Gibson covers are usually soldered on. That's the only problem.

Yea you can, you just solder the cover onto the base of the pickup on two points I think to make it hold.

Mind you it will slightly change the tone of the pickup I believe.
