I want to replace the tuners on a hollowbody of mine, and I was looking at the Wilkinson Locking Tuner set. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they decent, or should I shell out 80 bucks for a nicer set?

Here's the link. The only thing I'm wary of is that they don't give you the gear ratios.

Thanks.

i has em on my Vintage. They're sick, they only go out of tune if you deliberately turn the knobs, if you drop it from about a few foot height most of the time it barely knocks em out of tune, unless you do something really gnarly to it they stay in tune better than most other tuners ive used :p

upsied: if you have fixed bridge, you're in good shape.

downside: if you have a set bridge, it will be moving while you play and locking tuners are useless, you would be better off buying standard tuners.

I have the wilkinson ez lok, only difference is that mine are 6 on a side. I got em from gfs. I like them, but a lot of people have problems with strings breaking the first time (I was fine until I got to my high e...and that one decided to break on me )

the ez-lok system is moronic and it doesnt work. a properly strung guitar will not need locking tuners unless you are using a tremolo. gotoh tuning machines are the best as far as quality, gotoh schaller grover, all are great, gotoh just happens to be the least expensive.
