Absolutely amazing. One of Fender's finest sub 1000$ instruments. Prefer the strat though.

Might need a pickup change depending on your taste, but the stock are pretty nice.

i playd one and i liked it. however, im not into teles, so i couldn't tell you how it compares to other teles, but it felt nice and solid. (it was a bit heavy, not like a les paul, but much more than a strat)

I have one and really like it. It's warmer than your standard Tele for sure and the pickups are fantastic. Some of the necks in the Koa series have more birdseye than others, look for them... my top also had a little flame to it. My only complaint is it can sound just a hair thin IMO due to the basswood.

Good point on the birdseye front.

I think I might just get one cheap online and hope for the best.

If all else fails I'm sure warmoth can knock me up a nice neck .
