My friend wants to trade me my Peavey Penta cab for his Marshall JCM 900 lead cab to match his new Peavey Penta head. I'm curious if this Marshall cab is essentially the same as the 1960a cab? Thanks.

The JCM 900 cab was called the 1960 back when they were making them. There are different models (Vintage, Classic, etc...) the A and B stand for straight or slanted.

The JCM800 and JCM900 1960 cabs are the same. IIRC, the 1960A is the slant and the B is the flat front. The 1960xV has vintage thirties in it. The standards have... I don't know what's in the standards. I think C80s? In anycase, I love 'em in mine.

How do you guys feel about C75's?
were a punk band but theres some metaly riffs and pinch harmonics and what not. We recorded Guitars for our demo a couple days ago with a mesa rectifier head with v30's and loved them, how do they compare with v30's?
