..Like 'The world I know' - Collective soul.

I'm looking for a powerful touching song like that but is really soft as well.

Thanks in advance acoustic forum!

"To Sheila" Smashing Pumpkins...... a lot of songs off their Adore album might fit in that category.

Maybe some songs off of Foo Fighter's In Your Honor (acoustic disc obviously)

"Spaceship" The Vines ..... has an electric solo at the end but it fits well.

Ground Control to Major Tom... err.. Major Tom.. can be played with a lot of feeling.

Breath by Pink Floyd makes a great acoustic transition as does Brain Damage and Welcome to the Machine and even Have a Cigar.

Hard Sun - Eddie Vedder version

Hey Joe if you fancy it up some can really ebb and flow.

Teasing to please by cute is what we aim for. I saw them do a live acoustic version of it, and it was breath taking

I'm taken with a number of Damien Rice's songs -particularly ones he did with Lisa Hannigan. Listen to "Then go" sometime if you want a soft, moving sound. Other favorites ones from them include "Volcano", "9 Crimes", and "Cold Water"

The're both great acoustic artists. Relatively unknown, but never-the-less great finds.

Spell of the Gypsies by Buckethead.

And the acoustic version of Watch Over You by Alter Bridge is pretty powerful

Through the Barricades - Spandau Ballet. Yes I know it's a girly group but this song is a good 'un and you can really let rip on the bridge of the song.
