What are some nice and affordable desktop monitors? I'm looking at building a little recording setup.

I could've figured that out by myself, thanks.

My mom got me a little Acer when my HP monitor's backlights went out. Make sure you be careful what your screen dimensions are. 15" monitor doesn't necessarily mean anything... mine's squat as hell and far too wide.

I've always liked the square Dells with USB ports on the sides, though. Their frames are nice and thin, makes for a good dual-screen setup.

SHEdit: If you mean displays. Which kind of monitor?

m-audio ones will probably be in your budget range, they sound pretty good.

Samsung and Dell LCD's (which Samsung make) are the best ones out there IMHO. Go for a 22" wide screen, about $200 or so on newegg and have nice high resolutions. Very beautiful crisp picture

AOC make very good monitors for the price.

BENQ aren't bad when you're on a budget either but generally you should be aiming to get a Samsung because their displays have been among the best for years.
