I just picked up an old Charvel Model 4 body and neck that is going to be a project guitar (will post pics later). The body is routed for HSS with a Floyd Rose. I am looking for suggestions on the bridge replacement as I do not like Floyds. Any suggestions?

You could fill the route in to fit any bridge you want in there.
You could fill the recess in for a floyd rose so it can't go up, you could fill it in to fit a strat style trem, or you could fill it all in and stick a hardtail or something on.

I'm looking forward to see this.

Are there options that will allow me to make some use of the existing routing? I guess that would be the question...

Aye, the only option without filling would be a blocked floyd rose style trem.
I'm not sure what it is about the Floyd Rose you dislike but if it's the feel of them, you're pretty much boned without filling the cavity.

Is there a non locking bridge that can be slipped in using the existing studs?
