I came up with a weird chord that I didn't hink much of until not to long ago. The chord tones are as follows (from lowest to highest): C, Eb, F, C, D.

The tab is:

D--0------
A--3------
F--0------
C--3------
G--5------
D--x------

The key of the song i'm in is C minor, and the most I have would be that it's a i chord. Halp?

what does omitted mean?

I think you need to stop caring what people think about it. I stayed home all day today and masturbated like 5 times. Fucking blast.

Omitted means that it doesn't contain it. An m11 would normally contain the 1, b3, 5, b7, 9 and 11. But because the 5th and the 7th aren't present, we say that they're omitted.

Uh...I think Cmadd11 would be appropriate here.
The seventh is somewhat important in a m11 chord.
Someones knowledge of guitar companies spelling determines what amps you can own. Really smart people can own things like Framus because they sound like they might be spelled with a "y" but they aren't.

That doesn't really do anything about the D though...

Ah...I missed that. I still object to calling it a m11 chord though, since the seventh is one of its defining features.

Yes, my inital post was;

this, but I don't like it.

But I just had an argument, wasn't feeling like another 1, so I backspace that

I took (What's the english phrase for this) in favor of of the doubt?

If so, favor of the doubt on it's implying it as dom7th sub/extension like thing.

These threads are all in all a bit ambiguous.

Cmadd9add11(no 5th) perhaps?

Going a lil deeper even;

TS try a Ab in the bass, do you like that chord?

it's more complete Ab6add#11

But it could also be a rootless Ab6/9 chord or a rootless Bbadd9 chord. TS's choice. It could also be a F7 added 6 (no third present though. Might go for Fm7add6 for the dorian)
