Hey guys..
Im getting a Epiphone LP custom lefty brand new for $ 599. Is it a good deal..or should I just pay $ 100 less and go for the standard?

Doesn't that depend on whether you're left or right handed? Unless you're ambidextrous, that should be a very simple decision to make.
Gear;
- B.C. Rich Warbeast Bloodbound
- B.C. Rich NT Zombie 5-String Bass
- BOSS GT-10 Multi Effects TANK!
...In other words, I'm taking a giant dump on fender owners who use pods.

The Custom will have a two-piece body rather than a three-piece, but the maple cap is lower grade so the tone isn't actually any better.

It also has gold-plated hardware which rubs off pretty quickly and ends up just looking dirty silver.

They're sure nice to look at but they're not actually any better than Standards.
Yes, I know everything. No, I can't play worth a damn.

I thought the bodies on the Customs are all mahogany?
