Anybody have one?

Any experience?

They look bloody awesome for the price! (£450)

And I get to say I have a PRS (and hide the fact that its not a full blown one!)

Any suggestions for anything else?

I have a Tokai Strat, Epiphone Elitist SG, Epiphone Les Paul, Epiphone Dot and an atleast half decent amp.

I don't really need anything and have £400ish to burn (stretch to £450 if need be).

Suggestions?

Id buy it, I have an SE Standard and I love it. I changed the tuners to Grovers and put some Gibson pickups in, cus I got a sweet deal, and it sounds just as good as my PRS CE22.
Theyre great guitars, man. Id buy it if I were you

I have recently bought a PRS SE Singlecut which is a nice guitar with a quick easy playing action. It also feels well made .The only thing I would say for any guitar is give it a play before you buy as sometimes what looks like the ideal guitar isn't always when you play it.

True, but I have had three great experiences buying online. Every guitar I bought was as good as any other so I trust the online process.

Not sure where I can find a PRS dealer in/near london either..

I guess the quality of the tops varies a bit though?..

i have had great experiences online too.

The thing is, PRS SE series guitars are hit and misses. I LOVE THEM but i got to be honest. you have to try them out, as some are REALLY great for the money but others not so much. i tell you this because when i walk into a store the very first guitars i pick up are the SE series. Standard, customs, Tremonti, Singlecut ect. i've found that some have extremely crappy quality. while others play like a dream.

Save up for a great amp.

My amp is great. Most transparent cleans I have ever heard.

For any guitar it is down to the shop to get you a good one and set it up properly. My Fender Strat came from the shop exactly how I wanted it and is still great to play. The PRS SE Singlecut needed a slight adjustment so went back to the shop for them sort it out for me. Which was more down to my preference to how my guitars are setup, it is a very nice guitar. I got the all black one.

I have a feeling that you could buy something much better for the same price.
Perhaps Michael Kelly, or a Benford Standard series.

What amp would that be?

An old fender combo. I can't remember exactly what model though .

I'm in the UK by the way. So the benford is out the window. Don't like the look of any of the michael kelly's..

But you realise that a Benford Standard shipped will cost just as much as a Custom 24 SE, have your choice of pick-ups, wood, finish and will probably sound much better overall?
