Heyy,

Just started sweeping, but I'm a fast learner.

So what I want to do... is basically learn some really simple 6 string sweeping.

So if anyone could please send me some Basic 6 String Sweeps and then some quite challenging 6 String Sweeps?

That way I can get started .

Thanks a lot.

There aren't any.

A sweep is a sweep, if you can do one, you can basically do all.

To practice the full movement, just grab any major or minor chord, and sweep it, adding another minor or major 3rd on the high e string.

Par example, for Eminor:

e|---------------12-15p12-----------------
B|------------12----------12--------------
G|---------12----------------12-----------
D|------14----------------------14--------
A|---14----------------------------14-----
E|12----------------------------------12--
  D D D D D D U U U U U U

...and A major:

e|----------5-9p5-------------------
B|--------5-------5-----------------
G|------6-----------6---------------
D|----7---------------7-------------
A|--7-------------------7-----------
E|5-----------------------5---------
  D D D D D D U U U U U U

Practice that in any chorde progression you'd like, and you're all set.

Don't try tackle 6 string sweeps before learning how to properly sweep, no matter how fast a learner you are, you should build from the basics, if you ignore the basics, you might have some sloppy technique or might not ever get there.

Try some basic 3 string sweeps first and speed up until you're comfortable then try 4, etc.

Try A Major

e---------------------9H12P9----------------------
B----------------10--------------10----------------
G------------9-------------------------9------------
D-------11--------------------------------11-------
A--12------------------------------------------12--
E-----------------------------------------------------

I find 5 string sweeps to be easier than 3 string ones
Nothing of me is original. I am the combined effort of everybody I've ever known.
