I get a lot of mic crackle when ever I try to record something and I have no idea how to fix it. Can anyone give me some suggestions?

are you plugging into the computer soundcard or an interface?
if its the computer soundcard, then thats par for the course with that setup.
otherwise, check the cable.

I've got a shure sm57, and a heil rp30 that are plugged into a interface. I'm thinking it might be the cord too, but I'm hoping it isn't because I don't have money to buy a new one

They're really cheap, just get a new one. Also, nice job on the Heil, very good mics
