It sounds like you have the muting down fine as I don't hear any string noise really, but I think you should work on the evenness of the notes. It just sounds rushed.

The slow one was good, the fast one lost the individuality in the notes. It might help to pick yourself up a pack of Jim Dunlop Jazz III's, awkward at first but then you'll get addicted to them and find they give you so so so much more control.
