I just bought a steel guitar amp by mistake (I don't play steel guitar). Anyways, I play electric guitar. Is it ok to play my electric guitar through an amp that was made to play steel guitar? Will it mess up my amp?? Please help, I really need to know.

It should be fine. It probably won't sound as good though because it is optimized for a pedal steel.

It'll work but you would be much better taking it back and getting an amp designed for electric guitar.

The pedal steels were just made to be clean amps. Not much demand in country music for high gain pedal steel. It wont hurt the amp.

Try it; you may get more kickass a sound than you would from an electric guitar amp.

Thank you! I just wanted to know if the amp's speaker would mess up or something. Yeah the cleans on this thing are amazing and easily comparable to Fender's amp cleans. Really cool amp for rock, too.
