So, 2 things:

What are the most used guitar effects in metal?(besides distortion )

What effects do you usually use when playing metal?

Wah. You can never go wrong with some good ol' wah. Maybe a chorus or flanger in small doses. Creativity is the key. Make a new sound.

Good post.

EQ helps find your sound, wah can be useful, i always use delay and reverb (occasionaly a bit of chorus) on my solos.

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.

already using a Metal zone, what a overdrive pedal would do to my sound?

MOST people here hate the MT-2 because of its buzzy distortion.

I like the MT, a bit noisy not too much...a marshall MG30

Don't worry if people flame you about that amp. Its not that bad, the 30 watt one is a good practice amp but not really for gigging.

is there anything good from digitech to mess with my EQ?still using the Metal Zone.
My local shop has Digitech stuff on sale :P

im gonna be honest, you can get all the pedals you want, but if you want good metal tone, you need good amp distortion. i hope i dont sound too "flaming", but you'll regret it if you spend hundreds on random little pedals, even though you have nothing but a metal zone on top of a practice amp.
