Ok guys
since the first topic was closed and i didnt get too many answers i guess its time to post again.
I'm making a band and I need an amp that can gig (still have a lot of time and I'm not in too much of a hurry to buy a new amp)
Ok so first off here is a list of tones i like/want to sound like, examples of these tones are hyper linked so click on the song name to view the song on youtube(I'll hyperlink these songs later as i have to go now).
Ac/Dc buy a drink on me
Arch enemy Blood on your hands
Black sabbath Planet caravan
Def Leppard Wasted
dir en grey Merciless cult, Audrey
Dokken Lost behind the wall
Guns n roses My michelle
Jimi hendrix Voodoo child (slight return)
John 5 black widow of la porte
Led zeppelin Black dog
Megadeth Tornado of souls
Motley crue dr.feel good
Ozzy Crazy train live
RHCP By the way
Steve vai Tender surrender
T.rex 20th century boy
Ufo Rock bottom
velvet revolver Slither
Ok the new issue I prefer combo over head because i don't have a cab right now (and combo is easier to carry).
the next issue is money, I currently have $1200 american to spend on an amp.
It's ok to suggest amp up to $2000 give or take $200, also if you recommend a head factor in the price of a cab.
So Ug, based on the above info and the stuff in my signature, what amp do you think suits me?
What your recommendation?!

Have you looked at a Ceriatone Marshall clone?

I think a Laney VH or TT might handle all those tones, aren't traynors supposed do the 80's marshall tone well? that's what I've heard anyway
Current Rig:

Eppy SG w/Swineheads, Marshall DSL 5c, Joyo Vintage OD, Joyo British Sound, Sounds Sounds Fuzz Face, GGG Guv'nor, Dr. Boogie Pedal, Crybaby in Red Sparkle, Digitech Hardwire Delay

The things I would do for a Les Paul...

A Blackmore or Savage should handle all those tones quite well if you're looking at engl's.

any more suggestions?
I´m considering going cheap and modding a crate v33 to soldano slo specs (on the pre amp). With a speaker swap the whole thing should be like 370$ American and its money i can recover when i can start working again.
I have about 1300$ right now and I´m also considering the engl black moor and the splawn quickrod.

If you want a Splawn go try a Quiockrod........ most of the guys in your list uses Marshalls and the Quickrod is basically a HOT RODDED Marshall JCM 800............
